I write, direct, and edit; currently I’m focused on features and drama.
Previously, I was a founder and Executive Creative Director of Fire Without Smoke; an ad agency started from a desire to make great ads and still have fun.
I’ve made ad campaigns and in-game content for many of the worlds most successful video game franchises. From key art to art books, trailers to strategy, events on websites to events at Wembley: FWS solved any problem clients needed us to.
We grew from three people in a back room on Berwick Street to become one of the world’s leading video game creative agencies with yellow pencils, golden lions and offices in London and Montreal.
It was a blast!
Game projects I’ve worked on include: Grand Theft Auto (Vice City, San Andreas), Assassin's Creed (Brotherhood, Black Flag, Rogue, Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey - and more), The Division (1, 2), Rainbow Six Siege, Far Cry (4, 5, Primal, New Dawn), Watch_Dogs (1, 2, Legion), EVE: Valkyrie, Just Cause (3, 4), Hitman, Metro, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Battlefront, Dirt, Sonic, League of Legends, Bayonetta, 2K Sports, Midnight Club, Max Payne, Red Dead, as well as various ads for Xbox, PlayStation and other hardware.
Outwith games, I’ve made ads for EUFA, the BBC, and countless ad agencies with letters for names.
Long ago I was Director of Trailers and Ads at Rockstar Games in New York and a Director/Editor at OffHollywood Digital NYC where I directed promos for cable TV and cut features. I brought a wide range of experiences to audiences: from the hardcore extreme cinema of Gaspar Noé, to the super-soft feel of Downey fabric conditioner.
Born in Scotland, living in London, I’m most at home in a comfortable edit suite.
